3. Take a walk in The Louvre

The Louvre is one of the largest museums in the world which was once the home of the French Kings, named Louis XIV. The museum is huge and it’s no wonder that people who go there can spend all day there.

4. Trying to Go to Ile De La Cite

The building served as the Royal Court in 1682. When you visit this place, you can walk around this palace and garden. This place is very large and magnificent, so tourists usually spend at least 45 minutes.

If you want to be able to enjoy your visit more to the Palace, then you need to spend at least 1 hour. You can do the trip to the place using a metro station and buy a special ticket. 

The palace section is closed on Mondays and the garden is open every day. If you are on vacation in Paris, make sure you have an agenda to go to that palace.

6. Musée d'Orsay

Another historical building is the Musée d’Orsay which is located on the left bank of the River Seine and construction was completed in 1900. The building has the function as a train travel station in the past. Sophisticated technological developments allow humans to use modern types of trains.

The government can no longer use the building to get out of modern rail travel. Eventually, the building was converted into the largest art museum in the world. 

You will be able to see there are lots of famous works of art from the Impressionist and Post-Impressionist times. Some of the artists whose work you can see there are Renoir, Cezanne, Van Gogh, and Manet.

7. Waiting for Dusk at the Arc de Triomphe

When you go to the Champs-Elysées, remember to walk to the Arc de Triomphe. This section is a historical monument built to celebrate the end of the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars. You will be able to see there are special carvings on the building that tell about episodes that occurred in the 1790s to the 1800s.

You can see in the reliefs are about the Austerlitz War and the Fall of Alexandria. There is also a carving of freedom which is a symbol of the Revolution on August 10. 

The part of the military leader is inscribed on the pillar part, including the people who died in the war. The building has a total height of 50 meters, 45 meters wide, and 22 meters deep.

The architects who designed the Arc de Triomphe were Jean Chalgrin and Louis-Etienne Hericart de Thury. Until now, the building has earned the nickname as the tallest arch in the world.

8. Come to the Petit Palais

Another building that is also beautiful, majestic, and historic is the Petit Palais. The Petit Palais was founded in 1900 and has a trapezoidal shape. The interior of the Petit Palais is the City of Paris Art Museum which has many cultural attractions. It contains about 1300 works of art, all of which date from ancient times to the 21st century.

The architect of the building is Charles Girault, who describes the building design in the French style. Almost in every corner of the Petit Palais building are beautiful contemporary carvings. 

These sculptures were made by expert sculptors of the time, such as Convers, Desvergens, Fagel, Ferrari, Injalbert, Hugues, and Peynot.

9. Jardin des Tuileries

Another tourist spot in Paris and located between the Louvre and Palace de la Concorde is a park built by the Tuileries Empire. The garden received restoration from Catherine de Medici in the 1560s. Then the landscape was reworked by André Le Nôtre in a French style.

10. Coulée Verte René-Dumont
